Up, breakfast and a short walk up the hill and across the golf course to Tesco,  we needed to use the “facilties” and again we had run out of some essentials i.e. butter and rum.

Shopping stowed we set off along the beech to walk into town and have a look around, it was probably a mile walk but completed at a quickish pace as Susan needed to use the facilities again!

View towards North Berwick

North Berwick is a lovely small town but reasonably busy as it’s a bank holiday WE here in Scotland.  We explored the harbor and then popped in the Auld Hoose pub where they were showing the MOTOGP qualifying, must be my lucky day.  A couple of nice pints finished off by Valentino qualifying second to quote Susan “life is good”.

We then visited every pub in town (three more) before dinner. As we are in a fishing town we had a fish supper, no deep-fried Mars Bars though!  Back in the van I noticed that a spot had become available on top of the hill so we quickly packed and moved about 800 m to our new overnight stop.  The view was fantastic although it was quite windy up there and much busier as this is the best vantage point to view the bay.  We watched a couple of episodes of the Sopranos then it was bedtime.

Susan did not sleep well as all night there were people driving up and by us.. must be the local area for clandestine liaisons!
